Our Story

While Main Street Grafton's mission was envisioned and initiated through the Grafton Business Association in 2007 and with the help of Heritage Ohio, it was quietly left untended until 2022 when a small group of Grafton Village enthusiasts regrouped. They engaged a team from Heritage Ohio in early 2022 and energetically embraced legal steps to organizing as a non-profit charitable 501(c)3 entity. Main Street Grafton formally took shape on July 31, 2022 through certification with the Ohio Secretary of State and recognition by the IRS.  

The board of directors subsequently formed from the original group of nine planners, and has been meeting regularly to advance vision and mission, policies, and organizational structure that will serve as a firm foundation for the years to come.  The Main Street Grafton mission is summarized:  Energizing Our Community While Promoting Our Historic Downtown.  

Our vision is a vibrant Grafton community, that is supported through historic preservation and beautification of our village, enhancing people's lives through healthy activities and regularly scheduled enjoyable events, and a steadily improving and vibrant economy through support of our business partners throughout Grafton Village.
